Like a number of things since COVID-19 rose up, savings accounts increases (like masks) can be seen a couple of different ways. As prudent in these uncertain times. As unnecessary and possibly damaging to local small businesses. Probably we won’t see the same political labeling with savers as with masks. Of course, small and micro businesses are having difficult times holding on, let alone saving. It’s like the divide between the unemployment Federal Additional Compensation and the Paycheck Protection Program. Very few right answers. None that apply to everyone.
